Born: 16th March 1940, at village Pura, Distt. Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, India
Father: Lt. Sh. Shobhanath Shukla (Freedom Fighter)
First cartoon appeared in national Hindi Daily 'Dainik Jagran' on 6th July 1967.
Regularly appeared as a freelance cartoonist for :- Periodicals : Dinman, Shankar's weekly, Current, Blitz, Organizer, New Wave, Prajaniti,  Pratipaksha, Aaspass, Hindi Express, Ravivar, Itwari Patrika, Dharamyug, Saptahik Hindustan, India Post, Sampadak, Himal and many more.
Nationl Dailies : Dainik Jagran, Aaj, Navjeevan, Dainik Tribune, Rajasthan Patrika, Amar Ujala, Danik Bhaskar etc. 
Worked as editorial cartoonist :- Jansatta (Indian Express Publication) since 1983 to 1985. Navbharat Times (Times of India group) since July 1985 to Jan. 1999.
Presently Working for the popular news portal www.prabhasakshi.com and cartoon websites www.kaakdrishti.com., www.kaaktoons.com. and portal with one-stop access to India, www.ekindia.com. also subsidiary bazar guide www.marketing-avenues.com.
Contributed weekly cartoons for National Hindi Daily Rashtriya Sahara published from Delhi, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Patna, Dehradun.The work is beeing used by numerous regional/national dailies like Vyapar Sandesh, Vir Arjun, Janbharat Mail etc.
Publishing cartoon oriented fortnightly tabloid Kaaktoons India since 2004. felicitation: Public honour several times in New Delhi and other parts of India like Gwalior, Jabalpur, Indore, Alwar, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Haridwar, Dehradun, Saharanpur, Muradabad,etc., in strong presence of intelectuals, journalists and massively attended by enthusiastic admirers.
Elected as first president of Cartoonists Club of India.
Honoured by HINDI ACADEMY DELHI by awarding with "Kaka Hathrasi SAMMAN 2002-2003.
Honoured by Kerala Lalith Kala Academy and Kerala Cartoon Academy during cartoon camp 2009, Ernakulam (Kochi).
Felicitated with 'LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD 2009' by Indian Institute of Cartoonists, Bangalore.


I am speaker of Loksabha (Parliament) merely with five hundred members, while 'KAAK' is speaker of Loksabha with members in millions : --Balram Jakhad
